The role:

As a Business Analyst, you will act as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements that can be delivered. You will gather and document requirements, run workshops with stakeholders, and map current and future business processes. Working on system and technology-focused projects, you will support the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to delivery and implementation. You will also work closely with stakeholders at all levels, manage expectations, and ensure that business needs are clearly understood and effectively translated for technical delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the understanding of business needs as initiatives enter the programme, defining initial project scope and clearly articulating the supporting business case.
  • Take ownership of the Business Analysis approach across a major programme of work, ensuring consistency and quality of delivery.
  • Define and implement Business Analysis methodologies and standards at programme level.
  • Maintain an end-to-end view across the programme, ensuring alignment and adherence to best practice.
  • Provide support and direction to Business Analysts, ensuring delivery expectations are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Represent the Business Analysis function at programme-level stakeholder meetings.
  • Work closely with the Senior Business Analyst / Capability Lead, escalating risks and issues and seeking guidance where appropriate.
  • Prioritise Business Analysis activities and deliverables, ensuring clear communication across project teams.

Skills & Experience:

You will have the following skills or proven experience:

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst on technology or system-based projects.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and working with stakeholders to capture requirements.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle, from initial idea through to delivery.
