We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Livefoods Technician to join our production team, breeding and maintaining live insects for the reptile and exotic pet industry. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone comfortable working with insects and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
The shift pattern available is:
- Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Daily feeding, cleaning, and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, ventilation)
- Preparing Livefoods for dispatch
- Maintaining cleanliness within the department
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting any production issues
- Following standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines
Requirements
- Comfortable handling and working with insects
- Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit (lifting trays, standing for periods, repetitive tasks)
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work in hot, humid environments
