We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Livefoods Technician to join our production team, breeding and maintaining live insects for the reptile and exotic pet industry. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone comfortable working with insects and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.

The shift pattern available is:

  • Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily feeding, cleaning, and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, ventilation)
  • Preparing Livefoods for dispatch
  • Maintaining cleanliness within the department
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting any production issues
  • Following standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Comfortable handling and working with insects
  • Good attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit (lifting trays, standing for periods, repetitive tasks)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work in hot, humid environments
