Frontend Developer Role type: Permanent Location: Hybrid Newcastle/Leeds or Manchester Clearance required: BPSS The role We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join a collaborative Agile delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving improvements through both new system functionality and changes to supporting processes. You will work alongside experts in technical development to scope and design solutions that meet a range of business and technical requirements, while ensuring the needs of the user remain at the heart of the service. Responsibilities Technical design, collaborating with architect and designers to help design and shape the technical approach, solution and user interface, knowledge of accessibility standards. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions. Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend features and functionality across web-based user interfaces. Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to ensure solutions are accessible, responsive, and aligned with design standards and best practices. Review and contribute to merge requests, promoting high coding standards, maintainability, and consistency across the codebase. Work alongside backend developers to integrate frontend applications with shared services, APIs, and workflow management capabilities. Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and usability concerns. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including development practices, tooling, and team processes.
