The Percy Hedley Foundation is one of the largest regional charities supporting people with a range of learning and physical needs. We take a person centred, flexible approach to the care and support we provide. We have five sites providing specialist education, adult day services, residential care and independent supported living to our service users. Our sites are based in Forest Hall, Killingworth, Jesmond, Newcastle City Centre and North Shields. The Role
Working closely with the lead admin, staff team, learning & care manager and assistant head you will provide an excellent administrative service in school. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate records within the education services database (SIMS)
- Coordination of staff training
- Exam management and student and personnel filing systems
- Production of supporting MIS reports
- Managing attendance and submitting the quarterly census returns
- Ensuring staff training is compliant
- Managing the production of staff security badges
- Managing all interpretation requirements
- Placing online orders including supporting the senior finance admin with finance duties
- Organisation and smooth running of both internal and external examinations
On reception you will provide a confident service to pupils, colleagues, and visitors, as you will be the first point of contact for our outstanding school; you will be a positive and courteous team player, able to work using your initiative with a flexible but highly organised approach to tasks. With a good general standard of education and strong literacy/numeracy skills, you will hold relevant NVQ/RSA qualifications to level 3 or equivalent and ideally have experience with minute taking. This role is Monday - Friday, working term time only (39 weeks plus 2 weeks). The remaining 11 weeks are school holidays which you will have off as holiday time.
