Northern Counties School sets out to make a difference to the learning, wellbeing and future life chances of children and young people with significant additional needs. Teachers, Therapists and Learning Support Assistants work together in trans-disciplinary teams to meet the individual needs of every pupil. Together, and through detailed analysis of their presentation, we believe we can unlock each child’s potential and support achievement for all.

We require a qualified and HPC registered Speech and Language Therapist to join the Therapy team. The successful applicant will provide input to a caseload of pupils with complex speech, language and communication needs. The focus is on a combination of individual and small group sessions delivered collaboratively and in an integrated way with the trans-disciplinary team. There are good opportunities for CPD and clinical supervision. Northern Counties School is a vibrant and expanding service which offers a supportive and dynamic working environment. Dysphagia training would be advantageous but not essential. These roles are full time (37.5 hours per week), term time only (47.2 weeks).
