Teachers, Therapists and Learning Support Assistants work together in trans-disciplinary teams to meet the individual needs of every pupil. An opportunity has arisen for a number of high quality, deeply committed Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will be joining a strong and highly skilled teaching support team and a forward thinking, innovative school with particular expertise in Positive Behaviour Support, which will provide further opportunities for your personal development and growth.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants, who are able to support students with Autism. The successful candidate will be:

  • A dedicated and skilled professional with a clear pupil‑centred focus
  • Aspirational and highly committed to improving the learning attainments and lives of pupils with Autism.
  • Experienced in working with pupils with autism, some of whom may display behaviours of concern or is able to demonstrate transferable skills from another employment area.
  • A robust and resilient practitioner able to perform in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Full and part time roles considered. A full time role would be working 35.75 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks). Part time roles must include working Mondays & Fridays.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants should be aware that the post will only be offered to successful candidates subject to an Enhanced DBS and barring checks as well as other employment clearances such as referencing in line with our regulator’s legislation requirements.

Please note that this role is classed as regulated activity as it involves working directly with children and/or vulnerable adults. All shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a criminal records self‑declaration form prior to interview, and all candidates will be subject to an online check prior to interview.
