Hedley’s Horizons provides adults with disabilities day opportunities and activities that promote the ethos of lifelong learning and the importance of wellbeing in adult life. It is a busy, vibrant and varied environment that supports disabled adults with cerebral palsy, communication and sensory impairments and complex learning needs including those with Autism Spectrum Conditions. We offer a choice of activities that meet people's aspirations, needs and preferences, thus offering a very individual programme with support from a highly skilled and dedicated staff team.

The role will involve assisting the activity lead and helping to support in the delivery of activities within the groups. This site offers a provision to meet the needs of people with Autism Spectrum Conditions. Hedley’s Horizons helps to support individuals to participate in a variety of activities and enterprise sessions.

The role will involve working:

  • Monday 8.45 - 4.15pm
  • Tuesday 8.45 - 4.00pm
  • Wednesday 8.45 - 4.00pm (6.00pm once every 4 weeks)
  • Thursday 8.45 - 4.00pm
  • Friday 8.45 - 4.00pm

It is important to be a real team player. Flexibility with an ability to adapt and respond to evolving situations is an important skill for our team that helps us maintain the highest level of care and support. Due to the nature of this role, a minimum of 2 years experience working as a support worker is essential and experience of working with individuals with ASC or PMLD would be desirable.
