- Coach others in auditing, effective root cause analysis and the definition of corrective actions.
- Lead the supplier evaluation, approval and monitoring process – assessing and approving new suppliers, monitoring performance to determine risk and oversight levels, and integrating suppliers into the audit programme.
- Flow down QMS and regulatory requirements to suppliers where appropriate, including information, training and personnel authorisations, and work proactively with suppliers to improve their performance.
- Ensure the organisation has suitably competent and authorised personnel – performing competency assessments, preparing authorisations, issuing stamps, and maintaining authorisation and skills matrices.
- Maintain Production / Design Organisation linkages – preparing arrangements for signature, obtaining Statements of Approved Design Data, and ensuring planned work remains within the scope of the Production Organisation Approval.
- Support key projects, including the ongoing development of the supplier approval process, improvements to training and authorisation controls, and the implementation of SolidWorks PDM.
- Deputise for the Product Quality Engineer or Safety & Compliance Manager when required, coach the Quality Technician, and support the deployment of Safety Management Systems, Information Security Management Systems and other requirements as they arise.
