About Percival Aviation

Percival Aviation designs and manufactures high-quality aircraft interior products for the aerospace industry. We are committed to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance across the aviation supply chain. Our Part-145 Maintenance and Repair department specialises in ATA 25 cabin interior components, under a C6 rating. From seats, galleys and lavatory units to overhead bins, panels, linings and other furnishings, our engineers repair, overhaul and restore components to exacting airworthiness standards, always working to approved data and with full traceability.

Role Purpose

This is a department supervisor role that also needs Part-145 certifying authority. As Workshop Supervisor, you will manage the Part-145 department, controlling and organising the maintenance activities and workload. You'll also hold certifying authority, which gives you a full overview of the department and the work going through it. That means you'll be releasing ATA 25 cabin interior components to service by signing the EASA Form 1 and UK CAA Form 1 under our Part-145 approval. The role also includes chairing Capability assessment meetings, taking part in Repair Scheme reviews, carrying out Strip reports, and working closely with the Design department to develop repair Bulletins. This is a critical control point in ensuring the airworthiness, traceability and compliance of every component released to service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department supervision
  • Supervise the Part-145 department, controlling and organising maintenance activities and workload.
  • Chair Capability assessment meetings and take part in Repair Scheme reviews.
  • Work with the Design department to develop repair Bulletins.
  • Certification and release
  • Certify components as airworthy and release them to service with an EASA Form 1 and UK CAA Form 1.
  • Verify before release that all ordered work has been completed and that tests and inspections are complete and within limits.
  • Check the traceability of parts and materials, including release documents, batch records and the status of any unserviceable parts.
  • Technical and documentary control
  • Work only to current approved data, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and company procedures.
  • Review work packs, test results and Strip reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Safety, quality and compliance
  • Support internal audits, authority surveillance and corrective-action closure.
  • Apply human-factors principles and maintain a just-culture, no-blame approach to error reporting.
  • Follow health and safety, hazardous-materials and housekeeping requirements in the workshop area.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience maintaining, overhauling or testing aircraft components in a Part-145 or equivalent environment.
  • At least six months of relevant component maintenance experience in the preceding two years.
  • Working knowledge of EASA Part-145 and UK CAA Part-145.
  • Good understanding of technical records, traceability and approved maintenance data (CMMs, ADs, SBs, illustrated parts catalogues).
  • Existing component certification authorisation under another Part-145 organisation.

Desirable:

  • Existing component certification authorisation under another Part-145 organisation.
  • Familiarity with SMS, occurrence reporting and root-cause analysis.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary.
  • 23 days' holiday, rising to 25 days after 3 years and 26 days after 5 years.
  • 5% pension contribution.
  • Private healthcare.
