We are Perch on the Parade, Beachside on Worthing Prom and we need an Assistant General Manager to help support our super team. The perfect seaside location with warm hospitality, serving brunch, pizza, drinks, and happiness inside the restaurant and on the beach all year round.
We are looking for someone who is truly passionate about giving amazing customer service to our guests, and incredibly enthusiastic about looking after our team members.
Job Role Summary
This is a fast-paced, diverse, hands-on, guest-facing, hospitality manager's role which focuses on helping to lead a team to deliver great food, drinks, and service to our guests. Often as host to the table service restaurant, your dazzling personality is a vital part of our guests' first and lasting impression of their time with us. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that both guests and staff have a thoroughly positive and enjoyable experience whilst at the Perch. There will be queues to manage, celebrations to host, people to please, and responsibilities to juggle!
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Coaching and leading the team by example on shift
- Keyholder, opening, set up, and close down responsibilities
- Stock control
- Organising and managing shift breaks
- Looking after our guests including solving any enquiries or issues
- Taking, processing, and refunding payments
- Receiving and signing for deliveries
- Processing receipts for invoices
- Welcoming guests, taking and processing orders on the tablet, and advising guests on orders
- Delivering food and drinks to the table and running and calling numbers for the outdoor service
- Clearing and cleaning tables, loading the dishwasher
- Mixing, preparing, and pouring drinks at the bar and at the coffee station
- Cleaning and restocking
- Assisting with all other duties where appropriate
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Proven hospitality manager experience
- Food hygiene certificate (desirable)
- IT skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Working knowledge of allergens, wines, and coffee
