What are we looking for?
We’re looking for an L&D Content Developer who can create engaging, compliant learning content in a regulated financial services environment. You’ll use digital platforms, AI tools, and modern instructional design to enhance learner experience and business capability, while owning the end-to-end learning cycle from needs analysis through to delivery and ROI evaluation. You’ll also play a key role in embedding a strong learning culture aligned to the Perch brand and values. The ability to travel between Blackpool, Manchester and Skipton offices is essential.
So, what will your day-to-day look like?
- Strategic Partnership & Influence
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Group L&D strategy, ensuring local alignment and effective implementation.
- Proactively identify organisational capability gaps, future skills needs, and emerging risks, providing insight to the Group L&D Manager.
- Ensure all learning activity is commercially focused, prioritised by business impact and aligned to strategic outcomes.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in L&D, instructional design, and digital learning technologies, particularly within regulated industries.
- Champion inclusive and accessible design principles across all learning materials.
- Learning Design, Delivery & Innovation
- Support the development and deployment of blended learning solutions, including virtual classrooms, microlearning, and mobile learning.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), including Compliance and Risk teams, to ensure content accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Champion modern, best-in-class learning methodologies and continuously evolve approaches to maximise engagement and effectiveness.
- Design and produce high-quality learning content (e-learning modules, videos, infographics, guides, etc.) tailored to diverse audiences and learning styles.
- Integrate AI tools (e.g. generative AI, adaptive learning platforms) to enhance content creation, personalisation, and learner engagement.
- Maintain and update learning content within the LMS and other digital platforms, ensuring version control and audit readiness.
- Needs Analysis, Evaluation & ROI
- Support learning needs analyses with stakeholders to define clear outcomes and success measures.
- Ensure learning interventions are evaluated effectively, including ROI measurement and insight-driven recommendations.
- Use data, feedback, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and inform future L&D planning.
Does this sound like you?
- Proven experience in content creation within a corporate L&D or educational setting, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Experience using digital authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Vyond.
- Exposure to AI tools in learning design or content automation.
- Experience working with LMS platforms and managing digital learning assets.
- Familiarity with regulatory training requirements and compliance-driven content development.
- Strong experience across the full learning cycle, from needs analysis through to evaluation.
The Application Timeline
- A first stage phone call with the internal talent acquisition team (15-minute call).
- An introductory call with the hiring manager over Teams (30 minutes).
- A final design task and interview.
