What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded and process driven individual, with demonstrable experience in project management and is articulate and confident in communicating with colleagues at every level of the business, including senior members and stakeholders. This is a new role that will report directly into the Investment Director / Senior Investment Manager. The candidate will be joining a dynamic, fast paced and deadline driven environment, with exposure to board level executives and external stakeholders on a regular basis. So, what will your day-to-day look like?

  • Bid Process Management
    • Continually track and ensure the accuracy of the active Debt Purchase pipeline, managing Jira reports used to ensure all key milestones and deadlines are met.
    • Co-ordinating and scheduling key internal governance meetings with relevant stakeholders and assisting with the storing and circulating of actions.
    • Co-ordinating Due Diligence meetings with external clients, the internal knowledge share sessions pre and post DD and assisting the Perch/client Q&A process throughout any transaction, supporting the Sales, Investment, Implementation & Risk departments.
  • Transaction Governance
    • Supporting adherence to the transaction governance framework for all bid and acquisition processes, maintaining auditable record keeping of approvals and decisions made within Investment Committee (& Board approvals where required) and ensuring appropriate sign-offs are accurately maintained to support all binding commitments.
    • Supporting with the record keeping of deal-related queries from Perch's external funders, ensuring all questions are stored centrally to support approvals and all pre-closing requirements are tracked and managed through to completion.
    • Ensure timely escalation of any issues, risks or unfulfilled conditions of completion to the Investment Director, Investment Committee or senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Own and manage the pipeline management system in Jira, identifying and rectifying any gaps or inefficiencies between Jira and Perch's Sales department's CRM.
    • Drive automation and standardisation of reporting / monitoring dashboards to improve transparency across the business to further support the governance framework both in and outside of Jira.

Does this sound like you?

  • Degree educated with 1-2 years of demonstrable experience in project management or governance within financial services (exposure to debt purchasing and/or credit related sectors is desirable).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high value workstreams in parallel, delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a structured and process-driven mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and escalate where appropriate.
  • Knowledge of UK consumer credit and debt purchasing market dynamics desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills required. Experience with Jira or equivalent process management tools would be highly advantageous.

The Application Timeline

  • A first stage phone call with the internal talent acquisition team (15-minute call)
  • An introductory call with the Investment Director via Teams (30 minutes)
  • A formal interview with the Investment Director and another Senior stakeholder (60 minutes)
