The Bid Transaction Manager role is a brand-new position within the Investment function and will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the investment pipeline from an internal governance perspective, ensuring all checks are completed and processes are run in a timely manner. This will involve co-ordinating across departmental meetings both internally and externally, engaging with clients across the financial sector on a regular basis, whilst ensuring Senior stakeholders are kept well informed regarding upcoming deadlines. The process is managed within our transaction management environment in Jira, which this role will be responsible for owning and optimising.
We are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded and process driven individual, with demonstratable experience in transaction management, governance or risk management roles with the ability to influence across departments and is articulate and confident in communicating with colleagues at every level of the business, including senior members and stakeholders. This is a new role that will report directly into the Investment Director.
🗓 So, what will your day-to-day look like?
The candidate will work as part of the Investment Director’s team, supporting the Investment, Sales and Risk departments, across several areas including but not limited to:
Bid Process Management
- [20%] Continually monitor the active Debt Purchase and Contingent opportunities pipelines, ensuring all key milestones and deadlines are met.
- [10%] Co-ordinating and scheduling key internal governance meetings with relevant stakeholders, acting as the central point of contact between Investments, Sales, Risk, Implementation, Finance, Legal, and Operations over the course of the deal life cycle, assisting with the tracking and monitoring of actions, on the Jira platform.
- [10%] Co-ordinating Due Diligence meetings with external clients, the internal knowledge share sessions pre and post DD and managing the Perch/client Q&A process throughout any transaction, supporting the Sales, Investment & Risk departments.
- [10%] Support the Investment & Sales team in preparing Investment Memorandums (in PowerPoint), liaising with departments across the business.
Transaction Governance
- [20%] Ensure adherence with and alignment to the transaction governance framework for all bid and acquisition processes, maintaining auditable record keeping of approvals and decisions made within Investment Committee (& Board approvals where required) and ensuring appropriate sign-offs are obtained prior to binding commitments.
- [10%] Supporting with the management of Perch’s external funders, ensuring all required steps to support approvals are satisfied and all pre-closing actions are tracked and managed through to completion.
- Ensure timely escalation of any issues, risks or unfulfilled conditions of completion to the Investment Director, Investment Committee or senior management.
- [10%] Own and manage the pipeline management system in Jira, identifying any gaps or inefficiencies within the transaction governance process and proactively driving improvements.
- [10%] Drive automation and standardisation of reporting / monitoring dashboards to improve transparency across the business to further support the governance framework both in and outside of Jira.

👆 Does this sound like you?
- Degree educated (or equivalent) with 2-3+ years of demonstratable experience in transaction management, governance, or risk management within financial services (exposure to debt purchasing and/or credit related sectors is desirable).
- Proven ability to manage multiple high value workstreams in parallel, delivering to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a structured and process-driven mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and escalate where appropriate.
- Knowledge of UK consumer credit, FCA regulations, and debt purchasing market dynamics (desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong MS Office skills required. Experience with Jira or equivalent process management tools would be highly advantageous.
- Ambitious, driven individual with a strong desire to pursue a career within financial services
⏳ The Application Timeline
- A first stage video call with the internal talent acquisition team (15 minutes)
- A second stage introductory video call with the hiring manager (30 minutes)
- A face to face formal interview with the hiring manager (60 minutes)
