Are you a newly qualified graduate or career changer ready to dive into real-world software development? We’re looking for a proactive and curious Junior Developer to join our small, friendly team on a 3-6 month fixed-term contract, which has the potential to be extended. This is a fixed-term employee role (not a freelance contract).
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a live application built with .NET, integrating with Azure-hosted APIs and external hardware like cameras and printers. You’ll support key development tasks from error logging and bug fixing to DevOps and UI improvements; gaining hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle.
The skills we’re looking for:
- Essential:
- Proficiency in C# and .NET
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Basic experience with WPF/XAML
- Understanding of object-oriented principles and version control
- Interest in DevOps and modern development tools
- Awareness of security principles in application development
- Exposure to REST APIs, Azure services, and logging frameworks (e.g., Serilog)
- Experience with .NET Blazor
- Experience with hardware integration (e.g. printers, cameras)
- Basic SQL or database knowledge
