About the role

Job Purpose

As Project Manager, Medical Imaging, you’ll be responsible for the oversight of timelines, milestone and financials throughout the project lifecycle.

Working directly with clients and other stakeholders across the business matrix, you’ll provide leadership to the respective project team(s), managing expectations effectively and ensuring quality and performance standards are reflected and project outcomes are consistently achieved.

Key Accountabilities

Project management

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines).

  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.

  • Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.

  • Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

  • Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.

  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.

  • Provides effective leadership to the project team and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

Change management

  • Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.

Business risk

  • Investigates and reports on hazards and potential risk events within a specific function or business area.

Financial management

  • Monitors and maintains all required financial records for compliance and audit to all agreed requirements.

  • Assists all other areas with their financial tasks, especially in the areas of identification of process, service, project and component costs and the calculation and subsequent reduction of all service, project, component and process failures.

  • Contributes to financial planning and budgeting.

  • Collates required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision making.

  • Works to ensure that all project related financial requirements are understood and achieved.

Relationship management

  • Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan.

  • Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.

  • Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management.

  • Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.

  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments – comfortable working out-of-hours where needed to fulfil client expectations

  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail

  • Demonstrable ability to apply critical thinking to problems and tasks

  • Committed to maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Project Management practices within the life sciences industry and how they affect customers adopting our products

  • Ability to define and implement appropriate strategies

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements

  • Proactively participates in skills improvement training and encourages others to participate

  • Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes that affect technology within the Life sciences domain

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong preference for those with experience in a similar Project Manager, Medical Imaging role within a clinical trials setting

  • Experience in a formal Project Manager role applying common project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)

  • Experience using tools to communicate progress to stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business-related discipline (Chemistry, Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) or a related study preferred, or equivalent project-related experience

  • English: Fluent
