As PET QC Chemist, you’ll form part of the small team providing vital support to our state‑of‑the‑art clinical trial imaging clinic based in West London. Working in a GMP‑regulated environment, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of the PET radiotracers we produce onsite in support of our imaging studies. Collaborating closely with production colleagues, you’ll support both routine and developmental QC activities, playing an important role contributing to the advancement of molecular imaging in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QC testing of PET radiotracers aligned with project timelines and scanning schedules.
- Develop, validate, and document QC methods for new radiotracers.
- Support analytical chemistry tasks including precursor characterization and purification.
- Process and interpret data using HPLC and GC, maintaining accurate QC records.
- Investigate out‑of‑spec results and deviations within the QMS framework.
- Present findings during audits and internal reviews.
- Train team members and stay current with GMP and analytical best practices.
- Manage lab supplies and perform routine tasks (e.g., buffer prep, equipment calibration).
What We’re Looking For
- BSc in Chemistry or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QC lab, ideally within a GMP setting.
- Strong proficiency in HPLC; experience with GC and short‑lived radioisotopes (e.g., C-11, F-18) is a plus.
- Familiarity with change control processes and QMS documentation.
