About the role
As Business Strategy Intern, you'll support the team in translating high level strategic priorities into concrete, actionable initiatives. Forming part of a small team at the heart of our international eClinical business, you'll gain first-hand exposure to operating in a fast growing, technology driven, B2B life sciences environment. Working on a hybrid basis in our central London offices, your work will combine structured analysis with hands on execution. Engaged on a 6 month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC), you'll contribute to growth strategy development, partnership support and sales enablement, gaining first hand exposure to how strategy is built, tested and operationalised in a global clinical trial technology business.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy Support
- Conduct market, segment and competitor research across clinical trial technologies and adjacent digital health markets
- Support the definition and refinement of value propositions, use cases and differentiation narratives
- Contribute to Voice‐of‐Customer and win/loss analyses, synthesising insights from sales feedback, customer interactions and market signals
- Assist in preparing strategy decks, briefing documents and executive summaries for leadership discussions
- Help track progress of priority strategic initiatives using structured trackers or dashboards
- Strategic Partnerships – Research and Development
- Research potential technology, service or ecosystem partners and assess strategic fit
- Assist in drafting joint value propositions, partner narratives and case studies
- Support documentation and tracking of partner activity, pipeline contribution and performance metrics
- Prepare background materials for internal reviews and partner discussions
- Sales & Enablement Support
- Assist with preparation of deal briefs, account snapshots and opportunity analyses
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence and positioning reference materials
- Support creation and updating of sales enablement materials (presentations, one‐pagers, battle cards)
- Capture actions, decisions and follow‐ups from cross‐functional meetings involving Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Product
Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and openness to new learning.
- High attention to detail, organisation and ownership of tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast‐growing, dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear insights
- Solid consulting-style toolkit including market and competitor analysis, hypothesis-driven problem solving and clear, executive-level storytelling
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working with data, dashboards and performance trackers
- Affinity for technology and understanding of how technology products are developed
- Desirable: Any exposure to CRM systems, analytics tools or project management software
Experience, Education, and Certifications
- Evidence of structured thinking, problem solving and analytical coursework
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (ongoing or recently completed) in relevant discipline (Business, Strategy, Economics, Management, Engineering, Data Science, Technology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare or related fields)
- English: Fluent.
- Desirable: exposure to consulting-style projects, internships, case work, relevant research, etc., either professionally or as part of extracurricular initiatives
