The Talent Acquisition Specialist II & III (TAS II / TAS III) is responsible for acquiring the most qualified employees to meet the staffing needs of the Organization. Develops new strategies and programs to attract both qualified internal and external candidates to open positions and ensures a constant pipeline of qualified candidates are available for interviewing. This position works closely with the functional management teams on determining candidate profiles, curating recruiting plans, and customizing skill and testing requirements in order to bring the best talent to Percepta. The TAS II / TAS III works with TA Leadership to develop new and progressive strategies to attract both qualified internal and external candidates to open positions for the team. The position also supports thought leadership, continuous process improvement, and promoting an effective work environment. Serves as mentor to those entering TA team in more junior roles.
Responsibilities
- Act as a consultant to the business and advise them on market trends/competitive talent intelligence through developed expertise and knowledge, set clear expectations, and drive the partnership.
- Excel at understanding open roles – the skills, behaviours, and unique departmental fit.
- Full life cycle recruiting for assigned functional area including candidate engagement, assessment of candidate suitability and fit, managing the interviewing process, and closing/negotiating offers.
- Facilitate the use of Behavioral Based Interview Methodology throughout process and ensure that each Business Partner is "STARS Certified".
- Execution of employment branding strategy including supporting the Percepta Careers social media and digital platforms.
- Certified Percepta Pro – this includes strong understanding of the business, our value and go forward strategy – Brilliant at the Basics, Drive with Data, and Prepare for Scale. Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.
- Partner with TA Marketing Manager to write and publish effective job advertisements and social strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility.
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Post, update and ensure consistency of all internal and external job postings.
- Stay abreast of current legislation and policy changes to ensure recruiting activities follow all processes and procedures outlined by Percepta policies and Federal, State, and Local employment law.
- Facilitate post-offer process including technology requests, new employee onboarding, and orientation activities.
- Progressive and forward thinking on technology and processes to simplify and improve the hiring experience. Subject matter expert for recruiting technologies like TextRecruit, Chatbot functionality, Enboarder, etc.
- Responsible for forecasting and funnel reporting to measure effectiveness of our recruitment efforts- constantly striving for the best channels and applicant experience.
Mentorship and Leadership Functions
- Demonstrate and act as champion and SME for strategic direction regarding recruiting activities to successfully fill open positions and meet performance metrics.
- Provide best practices to the team - mentor and coach on opportunities as needed to overcome obstacles and provide continuous learning and growth – focus on new team members.
- Promote and foster a continuous improvement of culture within the organization and communicate new processes and changes quickly and efficiently.
- Establishes, monitors, and reports key metrics consistently and accurately as required on team’s recruitment activity.
Education
- Bachelor’s preferred.
Experience
- TAS II: 3+ years of recruitment and/or human resources experience (II); 2+ years in a dedicated recruitment role (II).
- TAS III: 5+ years of recruitment and/or human resources experience (III); 3+ years in a dedicated recruitment role (III).
- TAS II & III: 3+ experience working with an Application Tracking System (ATS) like Oracle, Taleo, iCIMS or comparable experience using a CRM like Salesforce, SAP, etc.
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques, strong focus on digital, and social media to identify and engage talent.
- Strong (and current) knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to employment and equal opportunity.
- (US Only) Recruiting certification a plus (CDR, ACIR, CIR, etc).
- (US Only) HR Certification a plus (PHR, SPHR, GPHR).
