About our client We are working with a fast-growing special situations investor and asset-based lender with a global mandate. The firm is expanding its London team and is seeking a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst to help oversee its international portfolio. This is an outstanding opportunity to support best-in-class monitoring across multiple asset types while driving the continued development of systems, processes, and reporting tools.

What the job involves

  • Monitoring the performance of loans and investments against financial plans, borrowing bases, and key performance indicators
  • Assessing collateral, liquidity, funding requirements, and exit strategies
  • Enhancing portfolio monitoring processes and recommending improvements to systems and reporting tools as the platform scales
  • Designing and maintaining dashboards to deliver insights and strengthen decision-making
  • Producing monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc investment reports on portfolio performance, outcomes, and risks for senior management and investment committees
  • Providing data-driven insights to the investment team and supporting both internal and external reporting requirements
  • Partnering with external advisors to ensure compliance
  • Supporting analysis on new and existing investments and maintaining portfolio management systems

Who we are looking for

  • A qualified accountant with a background in audit, transaction services, asset-based lending, or private equity
  • Hands-on, proactive, and highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to engage stakeholders across teams
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and adaptability to new software tools
  • Prior experience in portfolio monitoring and asset-based lending is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with portfolio monitoring tools would be an advantage
