What the job involves
- Supporting senior investment professionals to drive execution across all aspects of the deal lifecycle
- Assisting the portfolio management team in quarterly reporting and valuations
- Conducting detailed market research and target identification
- Supporting due diligence processes on potential acquisitions, including valuation analyses, and preparing investment committee papers
- Building and reviewing financial models, valuations, and investment materials
- Engaging directly to actively build relationships with management teams, advisors, and other stakeholders
- Contributing to portfolio company initiatives, including strategic projects, M&A, performance monitoring and preparing portfolio companies for exit, follow-on investments or bolt-on acquisitions
Who we are looking for
- Previous Associate-level experience within private equity, investment banking (M&A), leveraged finance or corporate finance (M&A)
- Background or degree in science, medicine or business
- Demonstrable interest and passion for the healthcare sector is essential. Transaction experience in healthcare is important.
- Demonstrable interest in the lower mid-market, with an appreciation for working with founder-led and scaling businesses
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skillset, with a solid understanding of accounting principles
- A professional qualification such as ACA or CFA (or equivalent), or an MBA, is advantageous
- Commercially astute, with the ability to assess markets, business models, and growth dynamics
- High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, proactive, and intellectually curious, with a genuine desire to learn and develop
- Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial team environment with high levels of responsibility
