About our client
PER has partnered with a highly successful growth equity investor that is looking to bring on a Portfolio Finance Lead with FP&A experience to join the business through an exciting period of growth. This is a growth hire and will be responsible for the financial analysis, cash management performance and commercial finance support across the portfolio. The role will partner with portfolio finance teams to create robust financial control functions and KPI management. The role will support the investment process by supporting on commercial financial due diligence on new acquisitions. The role will support portfolio finance teams on managing and growing relationships with different vendors and support in driving the commercial finance roadmap.
What the job involves
- Partner with portfolio company CFOs and finance functions to guide them through scale-up challenges ensuring best practice.
- Working with the transaction lead and portfolio execs to implement KPI reporting and the tracking of these through appropriate internal metrics and MI reporting.
- Ensure growth plans include realistic capital allocations to the ongoing development of the portfolio finance team.
- Analyse portfolio finance controls and support portfolio finance teams on implementing change and growth plans.
- Support on the financial analysis of financial strengths and development opportunities within new assets.
- Monitor portfolio financial statements with a pro-active and assertive approach to driving change where necessary.
- Oversight of current and projected cash levels within portfolio companies and being proactive in cash planning for protective measures or fundraising plans.
- Oversight of the internal reporting and analytics framework for relevant portfolio companies to support decision making on portfolio company performance versus business plan.
- Manage internal database of portfolio company financial information and working with external technology providers to ensure all data is stored accurately.
- Work with portfolio company finance teams to continually enhance MI to support management to drive strategic decisions on building value within portfolio companies.
- Onboarding portfolio finance teams into the portfolio and ensure integration into systems and technologies.
