What the job involves
The firm is seeking a high-calibre Capital Formation (Investor Relations) Associate to support all aspects of investor relations and capital formation. The Associate will contribute to the preparation of marketing materials, including DDQs, RFPs, RFIs, and other relevant materials, ensuring flawless execution across all fundraising workflows. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with senior membership and investors and contribute to the overall success of the firm's fundraising and communication efforts. The position is offered on a two-year programme with the possibility for a permanent offer upon completion of the term.
- Prepare and update Private Placement Memoranda (PPMs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and RFPs and other relevant materials.
- Support ongoing investor needs, responding to ad hoc queries and DDQs.
- Develop and maintain pitch decks and marketing presentations with high visual and technical quality.
- Conduct market, sector, and competitor analysis to support materials and fundraising strategy.
- Produce accurate reporting packs and internal presentations, ensuring consistency and alignment with firm messaging.
- Track fundraising processes, maintain documentation, and ensure timely delivery of all execution-related tasks.
- Collaborate with Deal Teams, Finance, and Compliance to support the execution of fundraising and investor deliverables.
- Coordinate roadshow trips and other investor related events, including logistics management.
Who we are looking for
- Degree educated with previous experience from in-house investor relations or placement agent, asset management capital formation or sales support or investment banking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex financial information into clear and compelling materials.
- Highly organised, able to multitask effectively and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM or investor database systems.
- Strong work ethic and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A strong interest in the African continent or emerging markets.
- Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis, research, and presentation preparation.
