About our client

Our client is a leading privately held investment group with a highly successful global initiative covering investment opportunities in private equity, hedge funds, and real estate. Their Private Equity function carries a lean team, sector-agnostic focus, and flexibility on capital structure, which they are able to leverage along with their privately-held nature to ensure they are not limited by typical fund arrangements, making this a potentially interesting and varied role. They deploy capital primarily within North American mid-market buyout, but have increasing exposure to Europe.

Going forward, they are aiming to grow their co-Investment exposure and as such are looking for an Associate with the technical skillset and versatility to work in a lean team and complete in-depth analysis of target companies. What the job involves

• End-to-end coverage of the due diligence process on potential investment opportunities
• In-depth analysis on target companies
• Preparation of materials for, and discussion of, investment opportunities for the investment committee
• Attendance at regular update meetings with existing portfolio managers
• Attendance at meetings with potential GPs

Who we are looking for

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking and private equity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong numeracy and technical modelling ability
• Strong personability and the ability to work well in a lean team environment
