This is an exciting growth opportunity to join a specialist private equity investor through a period of growth. As Head of Portfolio Data and Analytics, you will play a key role in the development of technology, automation, visualisation and portfolio analysis to drive better business decisions across portfolio management, transactions and fund raising. The role will partner with senior management and work closely with heads of business units to lead the development and improvement of automation and visualisation across the fund and investment lifecycle. The role will lead an established team and partner with senior international stakeholders.
What the job involves:
- Design and oversee regular reporting and financial performance for portfolio companies
- Create dashboards for investors and international investment committees
- Analyse financial analysis for portfolio companies including growth rates, industry trends and international economic factors
- Support the maintenance and review of portfolio company valuations
- Develop the internal data infrastructure and use of automation for the investment and investor relations teams
- Standardise data collection and processes with portfolio companies
- Lead the development on real-time data inflows across the portfolio
- Analyse operational data to identify areas for value creation
- Prepare portfolio analytics and insights for fundraising purposes or investor communication
- Evaluate and possibly implement machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Lead and elevate the established team to ensure best practice
- Train and develop junior members on processes, data analytics and use of automation
- Develop a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders
Who we are looking for:
- Relevant accounting or portfolio management qualification for portfolio analytics
- Strong understanding of private markets portfolio monitoring and valuations
- Strong understanding of automation and visualisation tools (Power BI)
- Strong experience in designing portfolio analytics processes and controls
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices
- Experience in managing and leading a team
