About our client

Our client is a leading growth investor with a mission to support the development of small and mid-sized firms across the UK and Ireland. With a long-standing commitment to sustainable growth, they have deployed significant capital across a diverse portfolio of businesses. It is now looking to add an Associate Director to the Portfolio team in London.

What the job involves

  • Develop and maintain an ongoing understanding of various portfolio companies
  • Foster strong working relationships with the board of portfolio companies, working alongside management teams
  • Assist portfolio companies in implementing their value creation plans and maximising value
  • Structure and negotiate follow-on investments, preparing and presenting investment paper
  • Support portfolio companies as they prepare for exit, managing the process through to successful conclusion
  • Provide internal reporting on the performance of portfolio companies and periodic valuations

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in UK investment and/or portfolio professional who has worked closely with UK company boards
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with management teams and affect real change and growth in portfolio companies
  • An emerging track record of managing further investments, and planning and executing exits
  • Strong financial modelling, accounting and business analysis skills - rigorous, accurate and detail orientated
