JOB SUMMARY
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Technical Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-performance UPS systems at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a blend of electrical and electronic knowledge, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the flexibility to travel for project assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct installation, commissioning, and servicing of UPS systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic components of power systems.
- Perform routine maintenance checks, inspections, and system upgrades.
- Provide technical support and detailed reporting on service activities.
- Work closely with clients to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards at all work sites.
- Travel across the UK and occasionally abroad for service assignments during weekdays.
SKILLS & EDUCATION
- HNC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of both electronics and electrical systems.
- Must hold or be familiar with the Electrical 18th Edition certification.
- Ability to diagnose faults in both electronic and electrical components of UPS systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home during the week.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
