JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead a small team, driving innovative solutions for electronic encasement, thermal management, and robust design throughout the product lifecycle. This leadership role blends technical expertise with a hands-on approach, focusing on thermal management, vibration and shock testing, and product design modifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Documentation & Process Adherence :
- Ensure all design and engineering processes are well-documented and follow established protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of design modifications to support the product throughout its production lifecycle
Encasement Design :
- Design and develop mechanical encasements for electronic components mounted on PCB boards, ensuring robust protection.
- Address packaging challenges and design for durability and efficiency.
Thermal Management :
- Conduct thermal simulations and develop solutions for managing heat in electronic components.
- Optimize thermal performance to meet industry standards and product requirements
Testing & Validation :
- Oversee vibration and shock testing to ensure product durability under various environmental conditions.
- Ensure compliance with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards during the encasement design process
Team Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on thermal management and encasing electronic components.
Proven expertise in:
- Thermal management solutions for electronics.
- Designing and encasing PCB-mounted electronic components.
- EMC-compliant designs.
- Conducting vibration and shock testing.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent documentation skills and a commitment to maintaining organized and accurate records.
