The IBP Lead plays a pivotal role in designing, executing, and continuously improving the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across the UK&I BU, covering Snacks and Grains categories. This role ensures the delivery of robust demand and supply plans over a 4-24 month horizon, aligned with the BU’s strategic goals and sector priorities.
By driving cross-functional collaboration between Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the IBP Lead facilitates data-driven decision-making to identify and close financial, operational, and capability gaps. The role focuses on aligning leadership through monthly Management Business Reviews (MBR) to ensure plans reflect business needs, optimize resource allocation, and maximize value creation.
A critical responsibility is fostering a culture of planning excellence by embedding IBP processes into day-to-day operations and enabling change management. This includes leveraging advanced analytics, scenario planning, and risk management to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
In partnership with the sector IBP Centre of Excellence, the IBP Lead supports capability-building initiatives, process optimization, and system automation, driving continuous improvement and governance. Acting as a change agent, the role influences senior stakeholders and aligns teams to deliver sustainable, profitable growth, ensuring the IBP process adds measurable value across the business.

Responsibilities
Lead the IBP Process Execution and Governance
- Own and facilitate the end-to-end Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring adherence to global standards and alignment with BU strategic goals.
- Drive the successful execution of key IBP cycles, including PMR, DMR, SMR, IR, and MBR, ensuring timely preparation, facilitation, and follow-up on decisions.
- Champion the governance of IBP processes, ensuring outputs such as volume forecasts, risk and opportunity analysis, and gap closure plans are robust, actionable, and aligned across functions. (Decision-Making & Execution)
Deliver Robust Demand and Supply Plans
- Lead the creation of accurate and dynamic demand and supply plans over a 4-24 month horizon, incorporating key business assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to assess drivers, gaps, and scenarios, providing actionable recommendations to close financial and operational gaps.
- Ensure forecast quality and accuracy by aligning volume forecasts to Annual Operating Plan and Market Business Review decisions. (Decision-Making & Execution)
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage and align key stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop consensus-driven plans and strategies.
- Facilitate leadership discussions during MBRs to align on decisions, escalate issues, and resolve dilemmas impacting business performance.
- Promote transparent and effective communication of IBP outputs and decisions across all levels of the organization. (Consultation & Execution)
Drive Business Value Creation
- Influence data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics, scenario planning, and risk management.
- Support the alignment of leadership to critical trade-offs, enabling timely execution of actions that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.
- Monitor and identify emerging risks, opportunities, and trends to support proactive contingency planning and value optimization. (Decision-Making)
Lead Capability Building and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the sector IBP Centre of Excellence (CoE) to assess, define, and deliver capability-building initiatives, enabling teams to enhance IBP maturity.
- Implement process optimization, system automation, and governance tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across IBP processes.
- Develop and deploy training programs to enhance organizational capability and understanding of IBP principles. (Execution & Consultation)
Embed a Culture of IBP Excellence
- Act as a change agent to elevate IBP culture, fostering alignment, accountability, and collaboration across teams and leadership.
- Champion the mindset of continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, root causes, and opportunities for optimization.
- Drive the adoption of next-generation tools, systems, and ways of working to streamline IBP processes and deliver measurable results. (Execution & Consultation)
Ensure Alignment with Sector and Global Priorities
- Align BU leadership with sector IBP priorities and ensure seamless submission of deliverables, including DMR, MBR, and risk/opportunity analysis.
- Collaborate with global and sector IBP teams to adopt best practices, align strategies, and support the delivery of shared objectives.
- Serve as the critical liaison for resolving escalations and balancing BU priorities with sector expectations. (Consultation)
Monitor Performance and Drive Accountability
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure IBP process effectiveness, including forecast accuracy, gap closure, and value creation.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement in IBP processes and outcomes.
- Align cross-functional teams to focus on the most critical performance issues and ensure actions are implemented to meet strategic goals. (Decision-Making & Execution)
Support Leadership Alignment and Decision-Making
- Ensure alignment of volume forecasts, financial targets, and operational plans with leadership stakeholders across Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Influence senior stakeholders to prioritize and execute critical actions that drive business outcomes and sustainable growth. (Consultation & Execution)
Qualifications
- Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Expertise
- Understanding IBP, IS&OP, and demand planning processes.
- Experienced in planning system implementation, business readiness and deployment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end operations, including Commercial, Supply Chain, and Financial Planning.
- Experience in implementing IBP frameworks that deliver measurable business outcomes, including forecast accuracy and financial gap closure.
- Experienced in Inventory management, optimisation and streamling via planning systems and IS&OP process.
- Ability to leverage digital tools, next-generation technologies, and data-driven solutions to optimize IBP performance.
- Experience collaborating with global and regional teams to align BU strategies with sector and organizational priorities.
- Ability to lift and shift best practices while adapting them to local market needs and business dynamics.
