Business partner the senior leadership team and build strong relationships between finance and all other departments at site, ensuring engagement and understanding of financial impacts. Actively support the Site Finance Managers and Site leadership to control and navigate Supply Chain costs, incl. Direct Costs and manufacturing overhead by completing performance analysis and financial planning & forecasting. Support decision making by preparing insightful reporting and presentations and Work with the financial management and Sr leadership to set the agenda for the Projects and Productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of period end financial reporting and presenting results to the central finance team.
  • Coaching and development of the Indian based site finance team, including prioritisation of tasks, and managing day to day performance.
  • Responsible for monthly financial reporting of site performance to the BU, ensuring that all systems are updated correctly.
  • Business partnering with budget holders and site senior leadership team to ensure engagement and that financial priorities are understood and discussed in the correct forums with the correct audience.
  • Lead site AOP build with inputs from the Management Accountants, reviewing with site finance managers prior to submission.
  • Attend the daily and weekly QCDM, actively participate in these meetings and ensure that there is alignment on the cost KPI’s between operational teams and finance, and providing coaching if required.
  • Support site Kaizen Leaders and Green Belts with project charters, savings calculations, and tracking of productivity delivery in power steering.
  • Support GCS and SOX compliance. Work with the Operations and Control team to establish and embed relevant financial controls at site.
  • Work with the site finance managers to set the agenda for the Projects & Productivity.
  • Support the site finance managers with other work streams as required and deputise in their absence.
  • Be the link between the site finance team and the strategic financial management, escalating issues as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
  • Manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Business partnering experience.
  • Development and coaching experience.
  • Experience of working with Lean manufacturing (QCDM).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Drive for results/ability to work under pressure (role is deadline driven).
  • Ability to influence upwards to affect the results & progress of the action plan & AOP.
  • University degree in Economics or Finance.

  • Eagerness to gain financial know-how and develop capabilities.
