Overview

At PepsiCo UK, we’re proud to produce some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—such as Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. With sites across the UK, including our Quaker mill in Cupar and Doritos factory in Coventry, we also host one of the world’s largest crisp factories in Leicester. Our UK office will relocate to a vibrant new Reading town centre location, just minutes from Reading train station, by the end of 2025.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure site legal compliance with respect to environmental policies through clear governance and appropriate action escalation.
  2. Maintain clear accountability for key elements of GEHSMS and support the Operations Team effectively.
  3. Ensure the timely close-out of environmental non-conformances, incidents, and risk mitigation actions.
  4. Implement robust change management for all aspects of Environment & Sustainability changes.
  5. Report key environmental and sustainability data internally and externally, including pollution inventory, WRAP waste and food waste returns, F-GAS losses, UK Energy Trading Scheme, permit variations, etc.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for the site when interacting with external stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships with regulatory bodies such as ABPR, Environment Agency, Severn Trent, etc.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in a regulatory-driven organization with knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
  2. NEBOSH Environmental Diploma and Environmental NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, or the ability to complete these within a specified timeline.
  3. WAMITAB Level 4 certification (operator competency for waste facilities) is advantageous.
  4. Effective communication skills, capable of tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders.
  5. Decisiveness in responding and making timely decisions, both directly and as a coach or subject matter expert.
  6. Understanding of lean principles, loss identification, and problem-solving techniques.
