ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly organized, driven, and experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event delivery while managing budgets, logistics, and schedules. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will plan, budget, build and operate events. As Project Manager you will be the main point of contact for the client/event and you will have complete commercial ownership of the project from start to finish. You will work closely with all part of the business to deliver each event on time, on budget and meet profit targets and exceed the client’s expectations.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Event Planning & Client Management
- To coordinate and work with all Peppermint departments to plan all aspects of an event
- Contribution to the pitch process alongside the budget planner to ensure every event is costed up accurately
- Managing the whole of the Project Team (stock, staffing, finance, operations etc.) to ensure the project is delivered on budget, on time
- Prepare any licensing paperwork including applications and AMP’s and attending any relevant meetings
- Being the main point of contact for the client alongside dedicated Account Manager
- Attending meetings with clients and suppliers
- Work with brands, sponsorship teams (internal and external), stock planners and the Client to ensure the event is stock-ranged correctly
- Complete commercial ownership of the event – managing budgets, ensuring profit targets are achieved
- Create and maintain comprehensive event plans
- Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Work alongside the finance team to ensure accurate P&L tracking and post event reconciliation
- Collaborate with the production team on event infrastructure, logistics, and technical requirements.
- Working with our internal staffing team manage staffing needs, and recruitment processes.
- Develop event-specific strategies to enhance guest experience and maximize revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety, and operational policies.
Operational Responsibilities:
On site at the events
- To act as the primary point of contact and represent the Company on site at events and oversee event execution, ensuring seamless operations from setup to breakdown
- Uphold all licensing objectives in accordance with the EMP and AMP – act as DPS if required and liaise with local authorities
- To coordinate and oversee all site operations (including but not limited to) event logistics, security, staffing management, cash operations, stock management, event production, & bar/food services.
- Delivering events on time and within budget that exceed expectations
- Managing all subcontractors – from staffing to wet stock suppliers, portacabins to power
- To troubleshoot and problem solve and make clear and definitive decisions
- Ensuring excellent end-user customer service and delivery
- Attend ELT or operational meetings with the events site teams
- To work with operations teams to manage client expectations and deliver target profit margins including staffing percentages and stock GP
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in event project management specifically in an bars/hospitality/greenfield environment
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for events and creating memorable experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
