The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven graduate who wants to build a career in technical sales. As a Graduate Technical Sales Engineer, you will learn how to develop customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support engineers and industrial customers with technical automation solutions across the South East territory. This is a field-based role where you will spend time meeting customers, understanding technical challenges, growing accounts, and developing long-term business relationships. You will work closely with experienced sales professionals and receive structured training to support your development within a global engineering business. The role will involve regular travel across the region, with occasional visits to the Oldham office for training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing engineering customers
- Promote and sell technical automation and sensor solutions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the territory
- Support customers by understanding technical requirements and recommending suitable solutions
- Build relationships with engineers, buyers, and decision-makers
- Manage sales activity, customer visits, and pipeline opportunities effectively
- Work collaboratively with internal technical and customer support teams
- Develop commercial awareness of market trends, customer challenges, and competitor activity
Training & Development:
You will be supported through a structured development programme designed to accelerate your progression within technical sales, including:
