About Pepper
The fundamentals of advertising haven’t changed: telling the right story, in the right place, to the right people. Pepper is a multi-award-winning influencer-first social agency, with its communication-led strategies delivering measurable and impactful campaigns that retain their value. Founded in 2019 by Forbes 30 Under 30 co-founders, Pepper has been celebrated for its work across influencer, organic social, paid social, and research for clients including The Financial Times, HM Government, Tripadvisor, and Disney.
Our in-house marketing team plays a critical role in driving new business opportunities for the agency. Through strategic creativity, standout content, and strong brand positioning, we support Pepper’s growth and help attract the next wave of clients.
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, hands-on Marketing & Social Executive to support Pepper’s internal marketing efforts as our in-house team continues to grow. You will work closely with our Senior Marketing Manager, supporting the execution of Pepper’s marketing strategy and taking day-to-day ownership of our agency social channels. This role is focused on bringing strategic ideas to life through engaging social content, short-form video, and design support. This is not a client-facing role. All work is for Pepper as an agency brand. However, the creativity, care, and strategic thinking applied to Pepper’s marketing must match the standard we deliver for our clients. This is a busy, fast-moving role that requires a proactive attitude, strong creative execution, and a willingness to learn. There is plenty of opportunity to develop skills beyond social media as the team and agency continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Agency Social Media
- Support and help manage Pepper’s organic social media channels on a day-to-day basis, working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Create, edit, and publish short-form video content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Edit social-first video using tools such as CapCut, with a strong understanding of hooks, pacing, captions, and platform-native trends.
- Create fun, engaging, and strategic social posts using Canva.
- Maintain Pepper’s brand tone, visual identity, and creative standards across all channels.
- Creative & Design Support
- Support internal campaigns, announcements, and new business initiatives with creative assets.
- Design ad hoc graphics, presentations, and marketing materials using Canva.
- Help bring strategic marketing ideas to life through creative execution.
- Support content planning, light filming, and shoot preparation where required.
- Marketing Team Support
- Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to support wider marketing initiatives.
- Assist with campaign delivery, content calendars, and internal deadlines.
- Be a reliable creative support across a growing in-house marketing function.
- Contribute ideas and creative thinking as confidence and experience grow.
About You
- Confident using Canva to create engaging, on-brand social content.
- Strong short-form video editing skills, ideally using CapCut or similar software.
- A good eye for design, trends, and what performs well on social media.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working at pace.
- Organised, reliable, and happy juggling multiple priorities.
- Curious, willing to learn, and excited by skill development beyond social media.
- Comfortable taking ownership while working closely with a manager.
- A great communicator who enjoys collaborating, sharing ideas, and learning through feedback.
Nice to Haves
- Experience working in a social media agency or in-house marketing team.
- Demonstrable experience in creating social media content (whether personal content creation or business).
- Interest in brand building and new business marketing.
- Basic understanding of social performance metrics.
- Experience with filming or basic content production.
- Happy to be on-camera in Pepper social content.
Why Join Pepper
- Join a small but ambitious in-house marketing team with big growth goals, working alongside a much larger client-facing team.
- You will be closely connected to the wider agency, with clear visibility into how marketing directly supports new business and agency growth.
- Company culture is important to us. While we work flexibly, we come together regularly for quarterly in-person team meetings and content days. These moments are key to collaboration, creativity, and maintaining the strong team culture that Pepper values.
- Have real autonomy over Pepper’s social presence.
- Play a direct role in driving new business opportunities for the agency.
- Develop creatively and strategically as the team continues to scale.
- Work in a supportive, high-standard creative environment where marketing is taken seriously.
At Pepper, we maintain a Human Approach in all that we do. Every team member is expected to demonstrate: Proactivity, Problem Solving, Ownership, Pride in Work.
