What you will be doing

  • Play a vital part in delivering technical and strategic change across our core business systems, using your expertise to support and enhance our mortgage origination platforms.
  • Work across technical, business and supplier teams to ensure system changes, releases and support activities are delivered efficiently and accurately.
  • Administer and configure mortgage origination platforms, including rules engine, document management and task management tools.
  • Write SQL queries, analyse datasets and manage SQL jobs within the mortgage originations ecosystem.
  • Conduct impact analysis and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Support accurate ETL processes and data integrity into the Data Lake.
  • Configure and administer business applications managed by the Business Systems team.
  • Support release management and environment management across projects and change requests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Change Managers and Project Managers on strategic and regulatory change delivery.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for applications, resolving incidents within SLAs.
  • Support product releases, scheduled maintenance and issue tracking.
  • Maintain accurate documentation across internal change and issue management systems.

What we are looking for

  • A technically strong and analytically minded individual with experience in mortgage origination systems and a talent for problem‑solving.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a proactive approach to improving systems, processes and data quality.
  • Ability to read and interrogate XML and understand how XML structures map to relational databases.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience conducting detailed data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving capability and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of system behaviour, data dependencies and regulatory impacts.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • High integrity, ownership and a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Willingness to challenge current processes, drive improvements and support the organisation through change.
