About This Role
By utilising DevOps, businesses deliver systems faster, cheaper and without sacrificing high quality. It is an environment, a philosophical mindset and a real-world framework that brings together development and operations to create stable, repeatable platforms for product deployment. To become a DevOps specialist, you need both technical and soft skills to seamlessly integrate with multiple teams. Engineers use tools to deploy infrastructure as code, create automation, test the platform during deployment, and hook in monitoring systems for rapid, up-to-date reporting.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate application deployment across multiple environments. You will monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement infrastructure as code to manage resources efficiently. We do not expect you to be an expert immediately; our award-winning Academy is here to build your skills and confidence in a supportive environment.
What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Passion for technology and eagerness to learn advanced programming
Our Values
- Empathy and Diversity: Integrity, respect, and inclusivity
- Drive: Goal-oriented with pride in exceeding targets
- Collaboration: Team focus and positive relationships
- Innovation: Creativity and openness to ideas
- Flexibility: Adaptability and composure in change
Candidates must be willing to relocate post-training for deployment, with eligibility to work in the UK. Remote work cannot be guaranteed. We do not sponsor visas or accept Graduate or PSW Visas.
Why Apply?
Our environment nurtures talents, with performance reviews every six months to reward progress. Benefits include 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday leave, pension, eye care, and more. We invest in your future, offering diverse experiences and development opportunities. No two career paths are the same at Sparta.
