The role involves bringing sharp critical thinking skills and commercial astuteness to fully realising our AFRS contract. You will work closely with the Strategy Director to identify growth opportunities and deliver on the long-term success of the ARFS marketing strategy. This will include focusing on brand, campaigns, customer experience, CRM, social and digital.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within the Armed Forces and across the wider Serco consortium. You will inspire confidence and ensure that all hands are on board for us to deliver effective, world-class work. Within your own team, you will set a benchmark for what great looks like, and create a culture for strategists to thrive in. Additionally, you will partner with data, creative and account teams to turn strategy into distinctive, impactful work.
As a leader, you will engage in 121s, encourage development, stay on top of performance issues, and create an environment where all feel able to thrive.
Who we’re looking for: An experienced marketer, you have built long-term complex, multichannel marketing strategies, across both brand and recruitment. You have turned consumer insight into actionable strategy, developed effective brand and targeted campaign activations. This has given you a strong understanding of marketing strategy, media and the role of channel. This is paired with a deep knowledge of B2C & B2B marketing strategies both above and below the line. Plus, you are comfortable pulling data to track performance.
A confident networker, you can sell complex strategic marketing solutions with gravitas, across stakeholder levels. You are excellently organised with a structured approach. As team building is key, you will bring experience in inspiring confidence and creating a high-performance culture. It would be desirable if you have experience of wider TA and employer brand solutions, as well as driving digital, social and technology enabled solutions.
We would like you to be educated to degree level or to have an equivalent qualification.
