As Social Strategist, you will define and deliver the social strategies for the Armed Forces – whether in combination, or separately for the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force. You will immerse yourself in the world of the Armed Forces and the target audience, so that we can deliver on effective, innovative, award-winning work. Across organic and paid social activity, you will bring to life the AFRS brand story to drive its prominence as a career option. Your decision making will be backed up by data, research and performance monitoring.

Alongside the Head of Strategy and the Strategy Director, you will build strong relationships with all consortium partner agencies. You will inspire confidence and reassurance over our chosen strategic approach. Within TMP 268, you will work closely with account and creative teams.

Who we are looking for:

  • You have a strong understanding of social strategy, media and the role of channel, as well as the consumption habits of 16–24-year-olds. This has been built through creating social strategies with demonstrable success against clear objectives and KPIs.
  • You have managed social accounts that have created impactful, effective work.
  • A creative and data-led thinker, you are comfortable working across a plethora of social channels to deliver successful results.
  • You have created tactical plans to focus on an area of underperformance when called for.
  • An experienced networker, you know how to build trust within teams and sell multi-channel marketing solutions.
  • This is coupled with excellent communication, organisation and planning skills.
  • A wider understanding of recruitment and employer brand solutions would be great to see, as would a degree or equivalent qualification.
