This is a career-defining client leadership opportunity, working on a history-changing contract.
For the first time ever, all 3 UK Armed Forces have joined together in their recruitment. Join TMP and help deliver groundbreaking, award-winning, multi-channel brand and recruitment marketing solutions for the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Airforce.
As part of a Serco-led consortium, TMP has been awarded the contract to deliver all marketing for UK Armed Forces recruitment. This joint initiative is known as the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS). Running until 2037, this contract offers an unrivalled opportunity to make a long-term, positive impact on the UK Armed Forces – and help transform the defence of the nation.
It means having the very best client leadership in place, to lead the day-to-day client relationship for a single Service. And that\’s where we need you.
The Role
It starts with focusing on the transition phase of the contract. Over this first 21 months, your priorities will include developing strong relationships with all stakeholders at a single Service level to build a complete picture of the requirements. It\’s about understanding what\’s worked previously and what success looks like for the Service. Working closely with the Business Director AFRS and Strategy Director AFRS to build and deliver a 2-year marketing strategy, you\’ll make sure everything\’s ready for a smooth launch in 2027.
We\’ll look to you to create a strong client platform for the contract to flourish. And, after the transition phase, your responsibilities will include:
- Continuing to work closely with the Service and the Serco consortium, ensuring marketing strategies are effectively driving pipelines across all areas.
- Understanding the performance of existing campaigns and opportunities for growth.
- Identifying and delivering continuous improvement and innovation across the duration of the contract.
- Collaborating with the Business Director AFRS to identify tri-Service opportunities over and above single Service requirements.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the client service team to deliver a seamless service to AFRS.
Who we\’re looking for
An experienced client leader, you\’re a confident networker with the gravitas and ability to sell complex strategic marketing solutions. You\’ve built and led teams too. And, with the ability to deliver accurate commercial forecasts, you always take a structured approach.
You\’ll bring:
- Expertise of building long-term client relationships within complex or multi-structured organisations.
- Expertise of driving customer satisfaction with a focus on delivering according to KPIs.
- Good understanding of B2C & B2B marketing across ATL and BTL strategies.
- Experience of managing complex pipelines and deploying multiple multi-channel activations, with a strong understanding of marketing strategy and media.
Please note, this role will require full SC clearance.
