This is a career-defining project management opportunity, driving the governance and delivery of a high-impact, nationally significant contract. For the first time ever, all 3 UK Armed Forces have joined together in their recruitment. Join TMP and help deliver groundbreaking, award-winning, multi-channel brand and recruitment marketing solutions for the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Airforce.
As part of a Serco-led consortium, TMP has been awarded the contract to deliver all marketing for UK Armed Forces recruitment. This joint initiative is known as the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS). Running until 2037, this contract offers an unrivalled opportunity to make a long-term, positive impact on the UK Armed Forces – and help transform the defence of the nation.
The Role
You'll be the go-to for all things around contractual delivery, fully understanding the requirements of the contract, owning the governance framework and driving forward improvements to ensure we continue to deliver against all obligations. Working in close partnership with the Senior Director AFRS, Head of TMP268, Finance Business Partner and wider PeopleScout and Team Serco colleagues, you'll ensure we perform effectively and sustainably across the life of the contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking full ownership of the AFRS contract and its governance requirements
- Own risk and RAID reporting within the governance framework
- Understanding all SLA and contractual obligations ensuring compliance across the contract
- Work closely with the Finance Business Partner to drive the commercial model
- Identifying opportunities for commercial growth and optimisation across the contract
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the wider Team Serco consortium
- Supporting the development and refinement of the resourcing capacity plan, including clear recommendations for backfill and incremental recruitment
This role reports to the Head of TMP268 and does not include direct line management responsibilities.

You have a strong eye for detail, and you understand the importance of accurate governance in driving strategic decisions. Self-motivated and highly organised, you thrive in fast-paced environments where precision, planning, and accountability matter.
You'll bring:
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Experience of delivering results within governance frameworks, managing risks and delivering within framework agreements
- Strong commercial acumen and proven experience in forecasting and resource planning
- Confidence using Excel and manual forecasting tools to support commercial decision-making
- A proactive, structured mindset with excellent organisational and planning skills
- The ability to work effectively within a complex, matrixed organisation and build strong working relationships
- A good foundation in interpreting complex data sets and generating reports to improve operational efficiency
- Experience using Workforce Management Systems or scheduling tools is also desirable
