What you'll be doing:

The Risk and Compliance Business Partner (Technology & Change) is responsible for providing independent second-line risk oversight, challenge and advisory support across the Technology and Change function, ensuring that technology, cyber, operational resilience, data, delivery and transformation risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported in line with the Group Risk Framework and regulatory expectations. This aligns with the organisation's broader transformation agenda and the need for effective governance across technology and change portfolios.

The role acts as a trusted advisor and critical thinking partner to senior leaders across Technology, Change, Delivery, Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security and Service Management functions. Working closely with business leaders, risk owners, control owners, project sponsors and third-party suppliers, the role will support the effective integration of risk management into strategic planning, investment decisions, change delivery and operational activities.

  • Act as the primary Risk Business Partner for the Technology & Change function, providing independent challenge, oversight and constructive support.
  • Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of technology, cyber, change, operational resilience, data and third-party risks.
  • Review and challenge risk assessments, risk and control self-assessments, scenario analyses and remediation plans.
  • Monitor risk exposures against agreed risk appetites, tolerances and key risk indicators, identifying emerging risks and areas requiring management action.
  • Assess the effectiveness of controls supporting technology operations, change delivery, information security, resilience, service management and supplier management.
  • Undertake thematic reviews and deep dives into key technology and change risk areas.
  • Ensure the Technology & Change function operates in accordance with the Group Risk Framework and regulatory obligations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience operating within a first- or second-line risk management function.
  • Strong experience within Technology, Digital, Change, Transformation or Financial Services environments.
  • Knowledge of technology risk, change risk, operational resilience, cyber risk, data risk and third-party risk management.
  • Strong understanding of governance, programme delivery, portfolio management and control frameworks.
  • Experience challenging and influencing senior technology and business leaders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and identify practical solutions.
  • Experience designing, reviewing or challenging risk assessments, controls, incidents and remediation activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing reports for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced change and transformation environment.

What you can expect from us:

  • Generous pension contributions with an employer contribution of up to 14%
  • Real living wage
  • Income protection, critical illness cover & death in service insurance
  • Employee healthcare
  • Parental and adoption leave
  • Learning & development opportunities and study support
