People Care Solutions is now looking for a frontline Senior Carer, reporting to our Care Coordinator, who has previous experience as a Senior Carer and holds SVQ3 with confidence to lead shifts and work closely with the office team to plan and support older people in their own homes across East Renfrewshire G46, G76, G77 (Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Busby, Giffnock). You will genuinely want to make a difference in a truly person-centred way whilst supporting our committed carers; you will be an effective communicator, team player and at ease making decisions.

Hours: 35 hours per week. Opportunity to work additional hours ON CALL out of hours every 4 weeks. Core Shifts: 7.30am to 1.15pm and 3.45pm to 9.15pm. Flexibility possible, but to agreed work pattern.

Location: East Renfrewshire (G77). Successful applicants must reside within 30 minutes of G77 and hold a FULL UK Driving Licence, and have access to own vehicle.

Salary: £15.00 per hour. Enhanced rates £22.50 for 8 public holidays. Additional £200 paid for On Call weeks. 28 days (pro rata) paid annual holiday.

The Role: Delivering and supervising personal care, mobility support, nutrition and skin care assistance, medication support - all on a person-centred basis within older people's own homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Care Coordinator in services planning, care plans development and agreement and coordination of efficient visits schedules.
  • Carry out scheduled visits to individuals in their own homes up to 4 times a day.
  • Care for and support people enabling them to continue to live at home safely and to maximise their independence.
  • Develop professional relationships through mutual trust and communicating effectively.
  • Be a committed frontline carers team player.
  • Maintain required standards at all times.
  • Ensure management are given timely feedback; our frontline Home Carers are our 'Eyes and Ears'.

Candidate specification:

  • Right to work in UK: suitable student visa applications considered.
  • Live within 30 minutes of G77.
  • Hold full UK driving licence with a car.
  • Previous senior carer experience and SVQ 3 essential.
  • Successful applicants are required to undergo Disclosure Scotland check (funded) and SSSC registration.
