Kick-start your career with People Care Solutions. We are looking for passionate individuals specialising in personal at-home care. People Care Solutions is recruiting frontline Care at Home Carers to support older people in their own homes across East Renfrewshire G77 (Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Busby, Giffnock).
Hours: 16 to 35 hours per week, across core shifts. Opportunity to work additional hours.
Core Shifts: 7.30am to 1.15pm and 3.45pm to 9.15pm. Flexibility possible, but to agreed work pattern. Some weekend work preferred every second weekend.
Location: East Renfrewshire (G77). Successful applicants must reside within 30 minutes of G77 and hold a FULL UK Driving Licence, and have access to own vehicle. Suitable applicants who live within 15 mins walk of The Avenue Shopping Centre, Newton Mearns will be considered.
Salary: £13.95 per hour. Enhanced rates £21.85 for 8 public holidays. 28 days (pro rata) paid annual holiday.

The Role: Providing personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition and skin care assistance, medication support on a person-centred basis within older people's own homes. Previous experience is helpful but not essential; an organised, caring and compassionate approach is required.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled visits to individuals up to 4 times a day
- Care for and support people in their own homes enabling them to continue to live at home safely and continue to maximise their independence
- Develop professional relationships through mutual trust and communicating effectively
- Be a committed frontline carers team player
- Maintain required standards at all times
- Evidence visits information by writing in Daily Record Books
- Ensure management are given timely feedback
Candidate specification:
- Right to work in UK: suitable student visa applications considered
- Live within 30 minutes of G77
- Hold full UK driving licence with a car (applications from non-drivers who live within 15 minutes walk of G77 can be considered)
- Previous care experience and qualifications eg SVQ 2 and 3 preferred, but not essential
- Successful applicants are required to undergo Disclosure Scotland check (funded) and SSSC registration
