We are seeking a reliable, adaptable and motivated Cover Supervisor to support the delivery of education and enrichment across the prison. This role will provide essential cover for sessions in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a safe, structured and purposeful learning environment.
The Cover Supervisor will not be required to plan or mark lessons but will deliver pre-prepared materials, support learner engagement and manage behaviour effectively. A key element of the role will be supporting the prison's Reading Strategy, including promoting reading for pleasure and purpose. The successful candidate will either have experience of phonics delivery or be willing to undertake training to support learners with low-level literacy needs.
In addition, the role will contribute to enrichment activities that develop learners' wider skills, promote British Values, and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) throughout all delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education, rehabilitation and making a positive impact on learners from diverse and often challenging backgrounds.
