Waste Management & Recycling Instructor (Weekends)

The Role

Looking for a hands-on role where you can make a difference? We\’re seeking a Weekend Waste Management Facilitator at HMP Millsike to oversee waste operations within the prison, ensuring a clean and sustainable environment.

Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 9 AM – 12 PM
£13.50 – £14.00 per hour

What You\’ll Be Doing:

• Supervising prisoners in waste collection, sorting, and disposal.
• Encouraging sustainability by promoting recycling and eco-friendly waste management.
• Conducting prisoner searches and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
• Maintaining health & safety standards in all waste operations.

What We\’re Looking For:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in manual work (e.g., maintenance, handyman, or similar).
• Awareness of health & safety and security protocols.
• Willingness to work within a prison environment and conduct searches.

Previous experience in a prison or waste management setting is a plus but not essential!
