As a Student Support Coach here at PeoplePlus, you will be responsible for providing a warm, professional welcome to Education, leading the screening and assessment processes undertaken during Education Induction, and providing pastoral support to maximise learner retention and attainment.

The Student Support Coach is the first point of contact for prisoners, ensuring induction into the Education provision is effective and screening and assessment is completed in a timely and effective manner whilst adhering to all quality standards and administration systems and processes.

The role also includes:

  • Promotion of courses to potential learners across the prison establishment
  • Recruitment of learners for courses
  • Maintaining accurate records of achievement linked to tutor assessments
  • Close liaison with partner agencies
  • Providing ongoing advice and guidance about the courses we offer learners
  • Offering appropriate support to ensure classes are sustainable
  • Scheduling and invigilation of exams
  • General learner administration tasks, including inputting data and uploading information to various prison operating systems

Within this role, you will be expected to cover duties of other Student Support colleagues whilst they are on annual leave.
