We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Connect to Work (CTW) service, a flagship Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) programme supporting people across England and Wales to find and sustain meaningful employment. As Team Leader, you will lead a team of Employment Specialists delivering Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services across Nottinghamshire City and South. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will drive performance, quality, compliance and colleague development while building strong partnerships across the Connected Communities Consortium (CCC), led by Asuria. This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused leader who is passionate about employment support, performance excellence and improving outcomes for individuals facing barriers to work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leadership, Coaching & Development
    • Lead, motivate and inspire a team of Employment Specialists to achieve outstanding results.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and development conversations.
    • Observe service delivery and provide constructive feedback to improve performance and quality.
    • Identify skills gaps and coordinate training and development opportunities.
    • Support colleagues through induction, probation and ongoing professional development.
    • Manage attendance, wellbeing, absence and return-to-work processes.
    • Create a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
  • Performance & Service Delivery
    • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly KPI performance and management information.
    • Drive achievement of job starts, sustained employment outcomes and service quality targets.
    • Lead vocational unit meetings, caseload reviews and performance discussions.
    • Ensure Employment Specialists provide effective in-work support aligned to participant needs.
    • Analyse trends and implement improvements to maximise contract performance.
    • Produce monthly reports and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders.
  • Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with referral partners, including Jobcentre Plus, Primary Care Networks, GP practices and community organisations.
    • Represent PeoplePlus at stakeholder meetings, networking events and community forums.
    • Work collaboratively with consortium partners to ensure seamless participant journeys.
    • Support strategic partnership development and identify opportunities for service growth.
    • Promote the Connect to Work programme across the region.
  • Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensure delivery aligns with the 8 Core IPS Principles and 25-Item IPS Fidelity Scale.
    • Conduct service observations, file audits and customer satisfaction activities.
    • Support internal and external audits, including DWP compliance reviews and IPS Fidelity assessments.
    • Resolve escalated complaints and implement service improvements.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Financial & Operational Responsibilities
    • Support budget monitoring, forecasting and expenditure management.
    • Oversee site, outreach and co-location facilities to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
    • Complete KPI forecasting and monitor contract performance against targets.
    • Conduct health and safety monitoring and risk assessments.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience leading, coaching and developing teams within employability, welfare-to-work, skills or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of performance management and target-driven service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience analysing performance data and using management information to drive improvement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with partners, employers and commissioners.
  • Knowledge of IPS delivery, employment support programmes or DWP-funded contracts is desirable.
  • Commitment to quality, compliance and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
