Our Art Tutors play a vital role in inspiring and supporting learners, working closely with the management team and wider PeoplePlus staff to gain a strong understanding of the curriculum and individual learning plans. In this rewarding role, you'll provide cover support to small groups of prison-based learners, helping them develop valuable skills, knowledge, and behaviours while encouraging them to work towards their future goals and aspirations.
Our Tutors are passionate about creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences. They ensure effective training plans are in place, provide guidance and encouragement when needed, and help learners build confidence so they can achieve their full potential.
This is a part-time position covering 22.5 hours per week over 3 days. The role is for an Art or Creative Arts Tutor who is ideally based at Little Plumstead with the ability to cover some hours potentially at other secure hospital sites in Norwich.
- An Art qualification (A Level Art or above preferred)
- Experience of supporting students with Learning Difficulties (LD) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential
- Strong experience and expertise within your field
- Experience delivering training, teaching, or workshops
- A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
- A creative and flexible approach to training, with the ability to use a variety of methods to engage learners across different subjects
While a teaching qualification is preferred, it's not essential. If you don't currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we'll support you in gaining the appropriate qualifications and assessments as part of your probationary period.
