Based on-site at HMP Wayland, our Employability Tutors work with our management team and other PeoplePlus staff to familiarise themselves with the curriculum and individual schemes of learning. You will support with the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations.

In this rewarding role, you will empower individuals to build their confidence, develop essential employability skills, and successfully prepare for the workplace. Our Tutors ensure that the appropriate training plans are in place and that the advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of quality courses that engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging non-accredited training sessions in employability and digital skills.
  • Provide basic IT support, such as setting up email accounts, using attachments, and navigating online platforms.
  • Guide learners through the job application process, including CV writing, cover letters, and interview techniques.
  • Deliver both group training sessions and tailored 1:1 mentoring to meet learners' needs.
  • Set clear, achievable targets and track learner progress using the company database.
What are we looking for?
  • Level 2 qualification
  • An expert in your field with substantial experience
  • Experience of delivering training
  • A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners
