Are you a qualified Internal Quality Assurer looking for flexible, sessional work? We are looking for experienced IQAs to join our team on an ad-hoc basis to support the delivery of high-quality vocational qualifications across a range of subject areas, including Construction, Creative Industries, and Technical Skills.
In this sessional role, you will carry out internal quality assurance activities, supporting assessors to deliver consistent, fair and robust assessment practices in line with awarding body requirements. The volume of work will vary depending on demand, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking flexibility around other commitments.
What you will do:
- Internally quality assure vocational qualifications up to Level 5.
- Sample assessments, provide feedback, and maintain accurate IQA records.
- Support assessors through developmental feedback and standardisation activities.
- Ensure compliance with awarding body standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
What we are looking for:
- IQA qualification (e.g., Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
- Assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA or equivalent).
- Relevant occupational experience in at least one of the following subject areas: Media, Plumbing, Carpentry, Bike Mechanics, Barbering, Barista, Waste, Multiskills (with Bricklaying or Carpentry), Sports.
- A commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and meet deadlines.
