The Role
As a Carpentry Tutor delivering education in prisons, you can really make a difference to improve people’s lives. In this role, you will emphasise practical skill development while promoting employability, digital literacy, reading, and restorative practices. You will be responsible for the secure management of tools and equipment in alignment with vocational curriculum safety standards.
What are we looking for?
- Level 2 Maths and English, or equivalent
- An expert in your field with substantial experience
- Experience of delivering training
- A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
- Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners along with flexibility to deliver qualifications across a variety of subjects
If you don’t currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we are able to support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments, as part of your probationary period.
